Terms & Conditions

- Art is for personal use ONLY - not for commercial use (unless discussed otherwise) - you cannot profit from my art
- Artwork will be signed with my name "PaulaJean" - you cannot remove signature
- Do NOT alter, edit, sell, or claim art as your own under ANY circumstance
- I, PaulaJean, as the artist claim all rights to the artwork to use, sell, print, promote myself, post to social media, etc, as I see fit (client's personal information affiliated with the artwork will remain confidential). Copyright remains with the artist.
- As the client, you are allowed to post to social media, use as profile pic, print, or gift to someone else
- Not required to give me credit, but is highly appreciated :)- ALL art will be digital - NO physical prints or copies will be given
- All final artwork will be sent via email - exported as high resolution (300dpi) JPEG

Payment

- FULL payment is REQUIRED before I begin the drawing
- If no payment is received, I will not start the drawing
- Do not pay me until I have accepted your commission request
- All payments will be received via Venmo, PayPal, or Cashapp. Venmo is my preferred payment service.
- Currency accepted $USD- For orders OVER $70 ONLY: If full payment cannot be paid at the time, the option to pay 50% upfront & then 50% after final sketch approval is available - discuss with me

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY

- Full refund allowed ONLY if I have NOT begun the drawing or if I have to cancel your order for any reason
- If I have already started the drawing and you request to cancel your order, ONLY 50% of the original price will be refunded - this ONLY applies when the drawing is still at the SKETCHING stage
- If I have already started on the FINAL drawing and you cancel your order, you CANNOT receive a refund at all- NOTICE: You have to discuss your cancellation with me before I send you your refund. If you send any refund requests (such as Venmo requests or PayPal chargebacks) through any of the payment apps, you will NO longer be allowed your refund. I will transfer the money back to you myself through the payment app. Any sort of scams are NOT allowed.

Delivery

- Estimated time of delivery can be anywhere from 2 - 10 weeks, depending on the type of artwork and my schedule
- Delivery can be affected by other commissions, work, school, health, etc. I will let you know of any delays to your estimated delivery
- Your commission will begin once I have received proper payment
- Commissions are on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis- If you have a deadline for your commission, let me know before paying me. Make sure you request your commission within an ample timeframe or I will not be able to accept your request

Additional details

- Reference photo(s) are REQUIRED
- Revisions are part of the process, especially during the sketching stage. You are allowed 1-5 revisions. Additional fees will be added for excessive revisions
- Very minor changes are allowed while I am still working on the final drawing. If you want a major change while I am working on the final piece, an additional fee will be added
- You get to choose your color palette - it can be realistic, pop art, monochromatic, warm/cool colors, black & white, etc
- For backgrounds, you are allowed to choose a solid color, gradient, or simple pattern. I will not do complex backgrounds or full-scene backgrounds. I will do semi-complex backgrounds for an additional fee (I will determine the complexity of your background request).
Reference photos are optional for backgrounds, but are helpful.- How Additional Fees Work? Once you have paid the full price and I have completed the drawing, I will let you know of any additional fees that took place while working on the drawing. Once you pay the fees, you will get your final artwork. If you do not pay these fees, you will NOT receive your artwork nor can you request a refund upon learning of these additional fees.

Portrait Commission Types

Realistic Portraits - $60

Base Price:
$40 - black & white / monochromatic (one color only), clean & detailed portrait
$60 - full color, clean & detailed portraitExtras:

This is my best seller! This is perfect for gifts & holidays. Realistic Portraits are done as full renders (clean & detailed). This means that this type of commission may take longer to complete (3-10 weeks). I only draw people for this commission (no animals).The monochromatic portrait ($40) will be done in only one color of your choosing, but the background color can be the same or any other color of your choosing. The two artworks on the top right are examples of this.The full color portrait ($60) will be done in realistic skin tones or whatever color palette (multiple colors) of your choosing. You can choose any color for the background. The top left artwork and the artworks on the bottom are examples of this.

Illustration Portraits - $40

Base Price:
$40 - full color, clean & detailed portraitExtras:

This is perfect for gifts & profile pics for something a bit more fun! Illustration Portraits ($40) are done as flat colors with simple shading. These commissions are done in my Illustration art style. This type of commission is fairly quick to complete (1-3 weeks), unless additional accessories/icons are added, then it may take longer to complete. I draw people and animals for this commission, but anything else can be discussed with me.

Sketch Portraits - $25

Base Price:
$20 - black & white / monochromatic (one color only), stylized rough sketch portrait
$25 - full color, stylized rough sketch portrait

This commission is best if you still want an artwork done by me, but at a more affordable price. These Sketch Portraits are meant to be simple and quick. These commissions will take 1-2 weeks or less.The monochromatic rough sketch portrait ($20) will be done in only one color of your choosing, but the background color can be the same or any other color of your choosing. The rough sketch is done with hatching/cross-hatching (the visible lines you see to create shading). The top middle artwork is an example of this.The full color rough sketch portrait ($25) will be done the same as the monochromatic rough sketch but color of your choosing will be added. You can choose any color for the background. You can choose to have the whole drawing colored or select parts of it to be colored. The three bottom artworks are examples of this.The realistic sketch portrait ($30) is ONLY done in black & white. The shading is more blended and detailed. The hair is typically done in a solid color with no shading. This commission may take slightly longer than the rough sketch portraits. The top left and top right are examples of this.The super quick rough sketch ($10) is if you want me to draw anything really quick. This option is for anything fun and silly (I will still do really quick portraits). Nothing really serious. It's going to be ugly, but that's the fun part! Want me to draw an alligator wearing a diaper? Spongebob meme? A fairy? SERIOUSLY, ANYTHING.
*There will be no revisions or any additional fees or requests associated with this option. You can have as many figures/objects you want with no extra fees. You tell me what to draw & you will get what I draw. You can provide a reference photo if you want.
